Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (Project Leader) aims to:

Empower entrepreneurs and transform ideas into engines for sustainable economic growth, and positive social change. These high-potential individuals will develop local business solutions that create opportunities for their communities.

Help young business leaders launch or grow their business, as well as assist with managing day to day operations. Participants in the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp not only learn from the coaches, but from the experiences of one another in an environment that fosters discussion and interaction.

Help young entrepreneurs bring their business ideas to life through coaching and discussing real-life business situations experienced by companies.

HOW LEADER CAN HELP BRING YOUR BUSINESS TO LIFE:

The LEADER program will not only provide you with the tools you need to start your business, but also one-on-one mentorship opportunities with our LEADER instructors who have professional experience in diverse industries and functional areas. Participants of the LEADER program will receive a complete business start-up kit, including a full business plan template, financial statement frameworks, and more. For those interested in getting feedback on their business plan or general counsel, instructors are available after class for personalized consulting sessions.

THE CASE METHOD:

The Case Method is a unique learning style that focuses on putting the student in the position of a manager facing a real-life challenging business situation. Unlike traditional lecture-based teaching, the Case Method relies on interactions between students as they consider different practical solutions and weigh their pros and cons, encouraging learning by “doing” rather than from a textbook. It is the preferred teaching style of renowned business schools, including the Harvard Business School, the Ivey Business School, and the Darden School of Business.

Umad has spent 7 years managing operations and talent acquisition in the Oil and Gas industry. He has demonstrated adaptability and leadership through the various roles in Engineering, Operations, and Human Resources at Schlumberger.

Mrs. TEGA ODJEVWEDJE

Tega has a degree in communications and business management. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs and started her entrepreneurial journey when she moved to Canada 10 years ago; since then, she has worked within the financial services industry for over 4 years.

Mrs. UGONWA ECHENDU

Ugonwa has a degree in chemical engineering and has 3 years of experience in operations at Pepsico. She has extensive experience in people leadership, change management, and production management.

Mrs.FIRUZA HUSEYNOVA

Firuza: With a background in economics and ethical philosophy, Firuza is constantly looking for new opportunities to integrate social impact and sustainability into modern business practices. She has experience in global digital strategy and marketing.

Context: who, what, why & when
Issues: External and internal; short- and long-term; quantitative and qualitative. Decide what is most important.
Alternatives: generate a list of alternatives. No option should be eliminated yet.
Decision Criteria: what are the boundaries within which you can execute alternatives. You must make a decision!
Action & Implementation Plan: timing & milestones

Individual preparation before class is mandatory
Everybody participates in the group discussion
Attack the issue/argument, not the person
Achieving consensus is not necessary
Make a decision

Cases will be located in many places around the world – some local, and some global, but they have been chosen specifically so that you get to learn about a business concept
Bringing your experience to these case examples is a great way to learn
Discussing cases is also about role-playing: what would you do if this was your business?
Discuss what might change if this business was in your community

Preparing on your own before class means we can have more in-depth learning happen as a group
